Filmmaker Bio - Jason Sherman

Jason Sherman is a resident and business owner in Historic Holmesburg and Tacony of Northeast Philadelphia. He is an avid filmmaker, musician and technology entrepreneur. Along with being a screenwriter, he has been working in the film industry for over 10 years. Being that his grandfather Jack Sherman ran the historic Devon Theater for 40 years, film is in his blood. Jason wrote, produced and directed "The King's Highway", which won the Best Feature Documentary award at the 2016 FirstGlance Film Festival. The film is currently being distributed worldwide as Jason continues to spread awareness to the historic preservation of Northeast Philadelphia. He brings his creative vision from paper to the screen effortlessly and puts every ounce of blood, sweat and tears into each project he works on. Jason loves to learn about and explore the rich and vibrant history of Northeast Philadelphia.
